Recent art projects (2025-2026)

Paintings

I took multiple art courses in college and outside of that, I spend a lot of time painting for fun. I've been painting since high school and during college, I developed an interest in photography and video art as well. Below are some of my paintings. The first is 3 x 1 ft oil on canvas and the rest are 10 x 8 in and 12 x 9 in oil on panel.

Photography

I've been spending a lot of time experimenting with pinhole photography. I took these pictures on photo paper using cardboard boxes and cans and developed them in a darkroom. The exposure times range from 7 minutes to 8 hours (photographing a room overnight!).

I became particularly interested in the idea of capturing the passage of time within a single image and programmed a "digital pinhole" effect in MATLAB. Expanding on this, I created a video effect where each frame is an image of the past 20 seconds. I made a video piece called 20 Seconds using footage recorded during a trip to Maine. It was installed in my university's art gallery as a 3 x 5 ft projection shown in the last photo below.
